Even though Jaxport is a convenient place to board for a cruise, don't. The only ship going out right now is Carnival's Celebration, which I must mention is the smallest ship in Carnival's fleet. You know what that means, a rocky ride the whole way there. Now I must say the ports of call were fun, however we only spent 7 hours in key west and 13 in Nassau. We wished it could have been switched around. Dave and I chartered a boat in Nassau and went bottom fishing. We caught a bunch of fish, nothing too big, but it was fun.
